Last updated: 10 October 2026

This policy explains what personal information Digital Stage Studio collects, why, and what you can do about it. Digital Stage Studio is a product of Alec Johnson trading as Take One Tech ("we", "us"). We are the data controller for the information described here. You can reach us at support@digitalstagestudio.com.

What we collect

Your email address, if you join the early-access list. When you enter your email on this site and press "Get early access", we receive your email address, the time you signed up and your time zone, as reported by your browser.

If you buy Digital Stage Studio. Purchases are handled by our reseller, Paddle (see "Purchases" below). We receive your name, email address, country and what you bought, so that we can issue your licence and support you. We never see your full card details.

Your licence. To check that a licence is valid, the app sends your licence key and an identifier for each computer it is activated on to our licensing provider, Keygen. This is how we limit a licence to the number of computers it covers.

When you email us. If you contact support, we keep the messages so that we can help you.

What we do not collect

The Digital Stage Studio app works on your own computer. Your shows, graphics, brand kits and files stay on your computer, or in storage you choose. They are not sent to us. This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies, and it does not use analytics.

Why we use it

We do not sell your personal information.

Who handles it for us

Some of these providers are based outside the United Kingdom. Where your information is transferred abroad, they protect it with the safeguards the law requires.

How long we keep it

We keep your email address on our list until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove it. We keep purchase and licence records for as long as the law requires, normally six years. We keep support emails for as long as they are useful for helping you.

Your rights

You can ask to see the information we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, object to how we use it, or take a copy of it. You can unsubscribe from our emails at any time using the link in every email. To make a request, email support@digitalstagestudio.com. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
